My teriyaki marinade has been tweaked and tested various times to get this just perfect, and now I'm sharing it with you!
Whether you're using it for chicken, beef, tofu or salmon - it's so versatile.
Chef Jen's Teriyaki Marinade
You can use this recipe to marinade meats (or tofu - yum!) and you can also use it as a stir fry sauce.
If you are marinating meats, please leave to marinade overnight it will make the world of difference to the depth of flavour you can achieve.
I also love to reserve the juices from the cooked meat, to add to my stir fried vegetables or noodles before serving.
2 tbsp Soy Sauce - dark
2 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp lime juice
3 tsp honey
15g garlic, minced
15g ginger root, minced
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
1. Simply blitz everything together in a blender until smooth.
2. Pour over your meat, and leave to marinade overnight.
3. Roast or pan fry your meat until cooked through, and then reserve any of the cooking juices to add to your stir fried vegetables or rice - to serve.
4. You can finish this dish with chilli, sesame seeds and coriander if you wish!
